Your Attorney
I have always been three things: (1) a problem solver; (2) a hard worker; and (3) compassionate.  Even as a high school student in rural Bluefield, West Virginia, my analytical side shined. It was my ability to solve complex problems that lead me to pursue a degree in science. In 2001, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and went on to work as a Molecular Biologist. Having come from a blue-collar family and as a first generation college student, I know the value of an honest days work and have always made my own way. It was my tenacity and compassion for others that lead me to law school. As a student at the Charleston School of Law, I was active in many student organizations and was recognized for volunteering more than 100 pro bono hours. I also had an opportunity to volunteer for the Center for Heirs Property, which works to provide increased economic benefits to families through education and legal services. After law school, I also served as a member of their Board of Directors. While at the Charleston School of Law, I was selected for the Federal Courts Law Review and achieved recognition on the Dean’s List. I received my Juris Doctor in 2010 and currently serve on the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors.  I am also a member of the Mediation and Meeting Center of Charleston.

I opened my firm in late 2010, in Summerville, South Carolina and built my reputation in the Family Courts of Dorchester, Charleston, and Berkeley Counties. In 2014, I was named as the Lowcountry Parent’s Magazine Mom’s Choice Winner for Best Family Law Attorney. I am also proud to have received the distinguished BV rating from Martindale Hubbell.

I focus on helping clients in all areas of the law that impact their day-to-day lives, including Family Law, Automobile Accidents, Probate Litigation, and  Guardianships and Conservatorships. I am certified as a Family Law and Probate Mediator, and I offer reduced rate mediations for those who demonstrate financial hardship through the  Mediation and Meeting Center of Charleston. I am also qualified to mediate contested Guardianship and Conservatorship proceedings in the Probate Court.

In 2010, I opened my firm in Summerville, South Carolina.  In 2014, I relocated my office to Charleston, South Carolina. Today, I practice throughout the Low Country.  I am a member of the South Carolina Bar,  the Charleston County Bar Association, and the Dorchester County Bar Association, where I previously served as the Secretary and Continuing Legal Education Committee Chair. In addition to Charleston and Dorchester Counties, I am also always happy to represent clients or serve as a mediator in other counties throughout the Low Country, including Berkeley, Colleton, Beaufort, and Jasper Counties.

My flair for viewing problems from every angle sets me apart. Every case has both strengths and weaknesses. It is to my client’s advantage that I am able to anticipate and combat what the other side may try to use against them. You can count on me to always provide both compassionate and candid legal counsel. Helping others is what’s important to me. Every client and every case is different. I take the time to get to know my clients and diligently work to help them get the legal relief they deserve.
